NGO Lakshyam :Fashion for a Cause 2012

Delhi’s Glitterati and Corporate came together to support NGO Lakshyam’s first initiative “Fashion for a Cause 2012” in association with Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers (SRM) and AMR.
Fashion show has started by Satya Paul outfits, wherein Delhi’s socialites including Ramola Bachchan, Saloli Kumar, Anjana Kuthiala, Vesna Jacob, Ala Madhu, Sylvie, etc walked the ramp wearing Satya Paul ensembles and Jewellery by Designer Praveen Goel.This was followed by another fashion show by Designers Bharat Reshma with show stopper Rohit Roy and Dolly J. While Designer Taniya Khanuja presented her Signature Line which was sold at the venue and part of the proceeds went for the cause.
The highlight of the event was the Finale which witnessed the Street Kids walking the ramp with celebrities Tusshar Kapoor, Kulraj Randhawa, Neha Arya, Rohit Roy, Cyrus Sahukar, Yuri Suri, Amanpreet Wahi and Claudia Ciesla.

“It is a moment of great pride and joy to see that our initiative is supported by Delhi wholeheartedly”, says the beaming Rashi Anand, the founder of NGO LAKSHYAM. The NGO has been working for last 8 years in Jharkhand, Chandigarh and Bangalore for the child and women development and started working for Delhi’s street kids since last one year.
Also, seen encouraging the street kids was Jewellery designer Praveen Goel of SRM (Shree Raj Mahal Jewellers) who were the main sponsors. “We feel obliged to be associated with such a nobel cause and we really appreciate efforts of the NGO in this direction”, said the designer.
Another attraction was the Discounted Gallery wherein Designers Tarun Tahiliani,Shantanu Nikhil, Varun Bahl, Pawan Sachdeva and Ramon Lamba had put up their creations at discounted prices to give contribution from their end. Even the Art world came forward to support the cause as Mrigna Arts displayed paintings of 10 different artists in the Gallery.
