DLF Place, Saket has kick started a month long festival: Denim Cult with a fashion show in association with Grazia on 7th April, 2012. As models sashay down the ramp in the latest collection of Denim by leading brands like Only, Jack and Jones, Gas, Levi’s, Indian Terrain, United Colors of Bennetton, Uni Style Image and Blacksoul and footwear by Clarks. Dhobi Ghat diva Monica Dogra has walked the ramp as show stopper.
Paying a very vibrant tribute to the world’s most loved second skin: Denim, the mall brings alive the magic of this fabled fabric that has earned loyalists since its inception. Known for its toughness, the cult of denim dressing came alive in the 18th century. Meant to be worn by factory workers and miners, it soon became a rage amongst teenagers and is still the most favorite and essential component in one’s wardrobe.
With the kind of versatility denim has, it has made its own space in apparels, accessories, furnishings and even artworks! DLF Place, Saket commemorated this unique quality of this classic fabric by way of the one of its kind Denim Fashion Show, The Denim Lounge and the artistic installation by Anil Kumar Goswami.
During the entire month of April, DLF Place, Saket promises to keep its patrons surprised with interactive activities revolving around denim, every time they walk in. With activities like pinning up your favorite pair of jeans on the ‘Wall of Fades’ or being part of ‘Go Green, Go Blue’ initiative that invites you to donate your old denim for a refurbished one, the mall has something or the other for everyone to stay glued to them.
