Manav has requested all for a minute of silence to pay obituary to the ace Photographer Prabuddha Dasgupta who has passed away on Saturday.
Manav‘s collection titled ‘Infused with Imperial Splendor’, was sexy yet demure and saw usage of shimmery black, pristine ivorie and red. The collection comprised of cocktail gowns, lehengas, chudidar kurtas, anarkalis, sharara and Garara and Sarees heavily encrusted with Swarovski crystals, beadings and embroideries. Manav has Chosen to give this collection a distinctive identity, completely removed from any of his collections until today.
An array of fabrics gives life to these garments- Silks, Laces, Tulle, Velvet, Satins & Dupions.
Speaking with the media, Manav said, “My collection is inspired from royalty and it is titled as infused with imperial splendour. I designed for queen of Bhutan’s marriage and I share a very special connection with them. She was here with us today to see my collection. I have always connected with the west and red carpet is my foray so there was a mix of Indian and western. I am known for my bling factor so that was evident in my collection but I have try and struck balance between wearable clothes and to express myself at the same time,”.
Front row filled withBollywood actress Raveena Tandon, Sophie Choudry , Jewellery designer Farah Khan, Queen of Bhutan Jetsun Pema and designers Manish Malhotra, Varun Bahl, Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna all have cheered for the designer.
