Designer Monisha Jaising has showcased her latest collection “Happily ever after…” on second day of PCJ Delhi Couture Week 2013 at hotel Taj palace New Delhi in association with Audi. Designer’s theme of the show was beach. Her collection is about evoking those childhood dreams of a romantic fairytale, to capture that mood that makes a bride feel beautiful and special.
Monisha Jaising in this season used fabrics like, softly sculpted silks, luxurious velvet and fitted French lace. Intricately beaded bodices are paired with ‘Handsome Prince’ sherwani’s; leggings with jewels exude this old world glamour, with a hint of bohemian beauty. Monisha’s collection colour palette was rainbow , in signature silk jersey and with zardozi to highlight. Luminosity is ornamented with thick thread that weaves in French lace. The shapes are contradictory, harsh and flowy but with a distinct undertone of a deep sensual sexuality.
Designer has focused on strong Evening wear, sexy and quintessentially feminine. collection comprises of lingerie inspired gowns, body con floor length dresses adorned with crystals.
