Nida Mahmood made an entry this Spring Summer, which got noticed big time. The designer with her peculiar ways kept the creative quotient sky high. It is the designer’s very own quality that has become her larger than life signature statement. The show started with a dancing duo coming centre stage and swaying to Bollywood tunes and dialogues in puppet like movements, giving it a silver screen feel. There were colours as well as drama and they complemented each other superfluously.

The initial look was the studious geek look with upturned plaits, which stayed throughout. The prints were amazingly bold with pastels and fluorescents playing in harmony—an art only Nida could master. The digital prints were teamed with tie ‘n’ dye and ombre dyeing techniques.  The shapes varied from snug fitted bodies to layered silhouettes. Certain elements like protruding pockets and multi- coloured waist belts added geometry.  Colour palette revolved around mustards, navy lime yellow, black and neon shades. The designer wrapped the show loudly with the display of LED-lit dresses.
